Welcome to The Word ‘Mage blog!

I’m Shari Smothers, and I’m glad you’ve come by. Shari Lynne Smothers

The Break Room

If the main website is the work area, then this is the break room. Hopefully, you and I will be able to relax and share some insights and experiences. The goal here is to present the writer behind the words, to come from behind the curtain of professionalism and give handshakes and hugs. This is my interactive area where I can tell you about some things that happen as relates to The Word ‘Mage work experience. (A link to the website is at the top of the sidebar. See? Over to your right. Up. There.)

Other Writing

My other blogs are for creative writing, and general writing life. Some things may change over time, but my passion for writing is not one of them. It won’t dissipate and I have never been able to shake it. So I embrace it and eek out these spaces to let my voice ring out.

Website Development

I’ve built a few websites and plan to do more. I’ve put up a page for website development over on the static site. The portfolio is below the fold. Next phase: I’m working on the separate website for this activity. It will be my first blog website, you know with the static home page? I’m looking forward to it.

The Invitation

It’s not the book I’m talking about here. Although, that is a great book, by Oriah Mountain Dreamer. The premise is similar: I invite you to share in this space. I hope you’ll give me feedback and input on my content. Feel free to ask me questions. If there’s something you’d like to see, let me hear from you. If there’s something you think I should leave out, I’d like to hear about that too.

Other Places to Connect with Me

The connections for The Word ‘Mage are linked to the buttons in the social media set on the sidebar. These are the places I use and email I monitor daily. I’ll likely respond the same or the day after you message me.

My personal connections are listed below. On my personal Twitter account, I post all sorts of links to whatever interests me, a lot related to poetry (just so you know).

Member Sites

I think it’s important to be connected with people, especially when you invest a great deal of time the solitary job of getting the writing done. For that reason, I connect with writers and other artisans through the following virtual communities.
